Creating Black and White or Sepia Effects

by: Kaitlyns_mom

Many black and white photos can be made more interesting and attractive by toning or changing the color of the existing image. It is a means of creating moods and impressions in a picture. No longer limited to professionals using complicated developing processes, the use of Photo Explosion can create these most cherished styles by even a beginner.

Getting Started:
For black and white or sepia (you can choose from many other colors)

**Go to Edit then Effect then Artist and then Tint

**If you click on Advance Mode then Color then Windows Color Picker you can choose tons of colors to change your picture (I chose black and white)

**After you click on Windows Color Picker you'll see the Slider (circled in red) which allows you to lighten or darker the color you chose

Artist will also give you the choice to do many other things such as crumpled effect, colored pencil, etc...(I chose fabric)

**By clicking on Advanced Mode it gives you the option to change things such as fineness, opacity and angles

Tips
*Particle let's you add bubbles, stars, rain, clouds, etc... to pictures

*Warp let's you add punch, pinch, ripple, swirl to pics-I use ripple alot when I want to add "movement" in water

*Special let's you add puzzle, wind, tile, emboss and turnpage effects to your photo

Click on more Photo Explosion tutorials to learn more about these features.
